I have  experience y of 25 yall the year working in area of rural marketing .it is practice to experiment different strategy in this market & find out the exact impact of the particular strategy.
I have started my carrier with selling bread of Jawar then two wheeler spare parts, Exide batteries, jeep fiberglass bodies, hotel machinery, PVC pipes, finance for vehicle & lastly Toyota vehicle.
This all journey gave me rich experience how to market & sell a product in a rural area.
Believe me first lesson I understood from this market is do not use the method of urban marketing to this are as it pays advert effect.
This market is based on the honest seller as the community is tight bounded any wrong impulses spread very fast & the effect is massive.
To divert them from current usage is very difficult but the key of the change is introduce the product through the personality which are known to them just the local teacher, sarpunch, health worker, head master of local school or even any literate person who has good image in the area etc .
The important precaution should be taken extra shining ex. blazer’s, Tie, goggles should avoid and the simplicity is the key to approach.
Another key don’t underestimate their knowledge regarding the surrounding discus the usage with their day today activity also try to explain your product with sharing a experiences of their known personality.
Pl remember money is not problem with them if you can able to convince the usage they can draw a loan for the product.
You have to give ample time to think for their decision; even extra hurriedness will spoil the deal. They will decide only when they are rest assured.
Talk frankly about good & negative things of the product as if you are one of the best friend or a well-wisher. Your first sells talk is very important for them.
 Selling product is a tricky business let your product get good mouth publicity work on that instead of huge market buzz costly marketing campaign.
These are initial precaution taken to enter rural market there few complex things need to be consider for rural business.
